Vision + Goals
To celebrate the 50th reunion of the Class of 1973 and the Silver and Sage Society, this multi-day experience honored legacy alumni, showcased campus growth, and rekindled connection with the university community. The event was designed to be warm and nostalgic, while also inspiring future engagement and pride.
My Role
As Lead Planner, I managed the event from concept through execution—crafting a seamless, heartfelt experience for returning alumni. Responsibilities included:
• Formed and led the Reunion Committee to align planning with alumni needs
• Partnered with marketing to create all event materials (invitations, brochures, signage)
• Conducted personalized outreach to encourage attendance and build excitement
• Oversaw planning, design, and execution for three signature events:
• Day 1: Welcome Mixer & Reunion Happy Hour
• Day 2: Silver & Sage Formal Luncheon
• Day 3: Reunion Tailgate
• Organized campus tours highlighting new and historic landmarks
• Managed vendor coordination, catering, staffing, and transportation
• Directed day-of operations and served as the on-site lead across all venues
Design & Experience
The event design honored the past while celebrating the future. Branded print materials and curated signage reflected the university’s evolution. Spaces were styled with thoughtful touches that blended nostalgia and school pride—from centerpieces featuring vintage memorabilia to welcome displays highlighting university milestones.
Highlights
• A heartfelt Silver & Sage Luncheon that honored personal stories and lifelong friendships
• A high-energy tailgate that capped the weekend with celebration and school spirit
• Guided campus tours that allowed alumni to reconnect with their roots and see the university’s transformation firsthand
Outcomes
The event exceeded all objectives, leaving guests with a renewed sense of belonging and pride.
